Celebrating 4 Years of the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce!

🎉 The Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce turned 4!

Last week, we celebrated our 4th anniversary with members, partners, and friends – on the iconic rooftop of the Hyatt Regency Sofia, overlooking the city that reminds us why we do what we do: building bridges through business in Bulgaria.

The evening began with an inspiring speech from our Chair, Jolanda van den Broek, who reflected on how far we’ve come:

“When we revived the Dutch Chamber 4 years ago, our mission was clear: to build a bridge between the Dutch and Bulgarian business communities. What we did not expect was just how many would want to cross it… From startups and scale-ups to SMEs, corporates, and freelancers, we are not just building a network – we are building a community.”

We were honoured to be joined by His Excellency, Mr Simon van der Burg, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bulgaria, who congratulated the DBCC on four years of growth, collaboration, and shared success. As he nears the end of his term, we want to thank him for his continued presence, ideas, and support. As Jolanda van den Broek aptly put it:

“Diplomacy is often about official channels – but what you have shown us is that real impact happens through relationships, trust, and showing up again and again.”

After the short official opening, the evening unfolded into a warm celebration of connection – full of great conversations, new introductions, and old friends reconnecting.

Also, a special thanks to Mr Bob Smit, Executive Director at NL Chamber – Macedonia, for making the drive to Sofia to join us!

We are incredibly grateful to all who joined us and to everyone who has supported us over the past four years – we thank you all! Here’s to many more milestones ahead – together.
