Last night, the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (DBCC), together with the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BBCC) and the Dutch and UK Alumni Club in Bulgaria (Tuk-Tam), hosted a truly memorable Dutch-British Alumni Networking Event, proudly supported by both the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bulgaria and the British Embassy Sofia.
With more than 200 attendees, the evening was a celebration of international collaboration, innovation, and connection – bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and future decision-makers, each with their own story yet united by the bridges between the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Bulgaria.
A Night of Inspiration and Connection
The stunning Kitchen59 Rooftop provided the perfect setting for the event. Against the panoramic view of Sofia’s skyline, participants exchanged ideas, forged new partnerships, and reflected on the growing opportunities that make Bulgaria an increasingly attractive place to live, work, and build the future.
Many of the guests were Bulgarian professionals who studied in the Netherlands or the UK and have since returned home – a testament to the thriving connections between the three countries and the growing role of alumni communities in fostering innovation and collaboration.
Opening Remarks and Shared Vision
The evening opened with inspiring remarks from both Ambassadors, as well as from the representatives of the Chambers – Jolanda van den Broek (DBCC) and Desislava Miteva (BBCC), and representatives from of the alumni clubs.
Their messages emphasized the importance of cross-cultural collaboration, international education, and community-driven initiatives that bring together professionals from diverse backgrounds – strengthening not only individual networks but also the broader Bulgarian and international business ecosystems.
