We were honoured to have been invited to a meeting with regional business representatives in Vratsa, last Tuesday. The meeting, made possible by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bulgaria and with the immaculate organisation of Denitsa Simeonova, was created to raise awareness of the business potential in the region.
With more than 20 local businesses from the region present at this meeting, this was a perfect occasion to create the first contacts between Dutch and Bulgarian companies and prominent local organisations and their representatives to seek bilateral relations, partnerships and international and local business. We are grateful to have already been able to establish meaningful connections, and a second visit (of hopefully many to come), is already being planned.
We would in particular like to thank Ambassador Simon Van der Burg, Monica Nikolova, Denitsa Simeonova and our incredibly welcoming host, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa for their hard work and organisation to make this valuable meeting possible.
With tourism high on the agenda, both the chair Jolanda van den Broek and board member Jeroen van Hertum decided to stay a bit longer after the official meeting and lunch, to discover the beauty of the city and surroundings.
