Site Visit: JA Bulgaria

Earlier this week, the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce was invited to the offices of Junior Achievement Bulgaria. JA Bulgaria was established in 1997 and has an excellent and leading reputation concerning the supply of innovative and modern education for the youth in Bulgaria, from an early age up to university.

Our chair Jolanda van den Broek spoke in debt with Irina Ilieva, the Chief Executive Officer of JA Bulgaria. We were very impressed with their portfolio of educational products and services, which includes programs in three fields: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work skills.

During our meeting we discussed the possibilities of joint activities and support through their creation and delivery of educational content, training and services. We found that we have a real opportunity to bring added value to both organisations, introducing young and talented people in contact with real and successful businesses in Bulgaria.

As the topics of young people in Bulgaria, education, workforce and entrepreneurship are high on the agenda of the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, we are very excited to explore the short and long-term possibilities and look forward to creating a fruitful partnership together.
